Suborder: Fulgoromorpha
Identification: The families Kinnaridae and Cixiidae are very similar. Kinnaridae can be distinguished by the broad subcostal cell of the fore wing.
The two European species are easy to distinguish.
Ecology: adults on herbs, larvae are probably subterranean.
